We are seeking an experienced Estates Manager & Surveyor to play a key role in maintaining, enhancing, and developing our historic College estate. Working closely with the Director of Estates, you will oversee planned maintenance, small–medium refurbishment projects, and compliance across a diverse and unique portfolio of buildings.

You will manage the Maintenance Manager and help support a skilled team of trades staff, ensuring high-quality workmanship, effective contractor oversight, and strong budgetary control. Your insight will help shape long-term strategies for the estate, including sustainability improvements and future development planning.

What we’re looking for:

  • Degree in Building Surveying, Construction Management, or equivalent
  • Strong experience managing maintenance and construction projects
  • Knowledge of building pathology, regulations, and industry standards
  • Proven contract management and team leadership skills
  • Experience working with historic or listed buildings

Desirable: Professional accreditation (MCIOB, MRICS, CABE) and experience managing budgets.

This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday in the College.
